Social Functions Commitee

The Social Functions Commitee are the people that are behind the scene at all the social functions. Be it the Sunday or Friday Coffee hours or a holiday feast. They are the ones that set up, cook, serve and clean; so everyone else can enjoy the event.

Mike Knoras is the head of the Commitee and would love to speak to you if you want to volunteer.

Knights of Columbus

Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference.

Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.

If you are interested in becoming a Knight, please call the rectory.

Catholic Daughters

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas.

We donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.” The program includes concerns of today’s Church and society as well as issues that affect the well-being of women and children. The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity.”

The CDA was formed over 100 years ago and today numbers 75,000 dues-paying members in 1,250 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across the country, and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands, which includes our chapter here at St. Mary's.

We Catholic Daughters enjoy each other’s company at meetings and work hard for St. Mary's and our communities.

Deeply spiritual, together we share faith, love of God and a distinctly feminine spirituality alluded to by Blessed Pope John Paul II when he spoke of the necessity of “feminine genius”in today’s world.

If you are interested in joining our wonderful group, please stop drop into one of our meetings or contact the rectory.

Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap is open to all young adults of any religious background who are ages 20-35. Theology on Tap helps us, young adults, to learn more about their faith and to share in the Catholic community.

Theology on Tap is centered around a series of get togethers on faith topics of interest to us. Our meetings are at The Hole in the Hill Resturaunt, we get together roughly every 6 weeks. Our meetings usually have a presention on a theological topic, time for discussion, faith sharing, and just plain socializing.

So keep a look out in the bulletin and come join friends for a good drink and great conversation.
